What I'd like to see on my Hubs
52Face it there are things that would make hubbing easier
However I won't be so foolish as to only describe what I want. I will SHOW you what I think would be great (using photoshopped pictures) as well as point out how Hubpages can do this without upsetting balance.
After all what good is complaining if you don't offer a solution?
What we're able to do now
Right now we can put pictures to the right of a text capsule, the way this one is done. However we can't put pictures to the left.

An explanation
Right now we can put picture capsules to have Full, Half, and Quarter width. Using the smaller ones actually puts extra padding on the side which ends up centering the image.
Right now the only way to get a smaller width for text is by aligning it to one side only (see above example). However it doesn't center. If we could have the Half, and Quarter features we could make centered text with small width which are ideal for lists and sidenotes.

Yeah I would like to be able to put pictures on the left too and text on the right--gives the article or hub a better look when you shift from one side to the other in reading.

Those are great ideas and loved the illustrations! I'd love to be able to have more input into the creative layout of a hub as well!

The left align picture thing has been asked in the forums, as has the center text. There's a reason why they don't offer left align, but I forget it, and I'm not sure about hte centering. But if it's a feature that you think you would use, then you've already figured a way to do it. You can use the forum to suggest features. Also, search the forums and you'll quickly find where tons of people have asked for both of these features.
People in the forums tend to be very negative. Also I'm aware that many people have asked for these features, but I find that showing them what the features would end up looking like is a better way to win over people than just talking about them.
"But if it's a feature that you think you would use, then you've already figured a way to do it." Not sure what you mean as there is no way to currently do it (I used pictures to fake it), so yes this is a feature I would use.
I too would love to be able to balance my hubs apperance by being able to place pictures to the left of text at times.
And I've just gotta say I love your graphics... especially your happy little squidling.
